For years I have been a Tennessee Titans fan. At age 9 the team finally rebranded and with that came my fandom. From the heartbreak of the early playoff runs to the lowly early 2010's I have stayed loyal and true to this team. My first Titans game in person was on January 7, 2001, against the Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. I would sporadically attend games here and there until college in 2008 when I would finally gain access to tickets via Lipscomb University. Able to attend multiple games a year, I knew I had to join the Titans family myself one day.
In 2014, I was able to get my first full time job at age 23. The only thing I wanted to do was own my own seats inside Nissan Stadium. In the Spring of 2014, the Titans were transitioning into a new era and so was I. I purchased two seats in the North End Zone and have called it home ever since. Over the next 11 seasons, I would not miss a home game except for the Covid-19 pandemic. I have not willingly chosen to miss a game let alone leave a game early. I am there well before the ball is kicked and I will not leave until the players have exited. It is my second home in the fall, and I hope to keep it that way for many years to come!
My first two seasons as a season ticket member saw my team win just five games overall and only two games at home, both against the Jags, thankfully. These years were not tough, but they made me realize that not all good things come easily. They have to be earned. I am battle tested and ready for whatever the NFL can throw at me! Bring on The Mosh Pit, and let's continue building on what we have!
Jevon Kearse, Chris Johnson, Delanie Walker. Some of my personal all-time Titans greats. It was their time to move over for a new face of the franchise. Derrick Henry. has cemented himself among the top of the greats in Titan's history and with it comes an era of dominance that hopefully will be replicated in years to come. These years taught me that the love and support of other fans is what makes games special. In 2018 I relocated to a new seat in the North End Zone in hopes of eventually getting close and closer. With this move came a community around me.Â
Success and stability in my career gave me the ability to travel more around the country. My first away Titans game was in 2011 vs. the Falcons in the Georgia Dome., but once 2016 came around, I took on an identity. That 2016 season, I made it a point to travel to at least one away game a year. It eventually grew to more than that and has culminated in 23 total road Titans games in 21 different stadiums! Whether it be a weekend trip to Pittsburgh or a week long trip around Lake Erie, I did whatever I could to see an NFL game on the road and experience all that I could from other teams and cities
Traveling was not just for Titans away games. I would take any opportunity to see a game on any trip around the country. My NFL journeys have taken me to 20 other NFL games at various stadiums. 43 NFL Road games in total! I am proud to say that I have visited 28 of 29 current NFL stadiums, and 31 total in my lifetime. The Mosh Pit is hopefully my future section in my 32nd (maybe even 34th or 35th) NFL stadium.
My journeys have taken me all over the country and introduced me to a ton of amazing people. My journeys have give me incredible experiences. They have taken me into enemy territory. They have taken me into every other teams atmosphere. One things remains constant, I am hopeful for the future of my own team and the atmosphere that our fans can create. The Mosh Pit is something that has resonated with me more and more as the reality of the new Nissan Stadium sets in. It is a section made for fans like me. Fans who not only believe in their team, but believe in a location, a community, a family.
